Rain or shine, since 1989 — Mo’s Fly-In takes place on the last Saturday in February. Meet your friends, and see the action as planes land and take off, or simply make a touch and go.

The ice thickness has been good, so let’s hope the thaw holds off for the weekend. No matter what, the Fly-In will not be cancelled.

To get there, take Route 148 from the Aylmer part of Gatineau, heading towards Shawville. Pass the fire hall, and look for côte McKay on the left. Turn towards the river, and find a parking spot. Best to walk down the steep hill unless you have 4-wheel drive.

See you there! You’re guaranteed a warm welcome from host Maurice Prud’homme plus a chance to visit with other aviation enthusiasts. And of course Mo’s famous chili con carne will keep you warm.
